FIMBULVINTER - anarko-primitivism på svenska

Som diabetiker har jag indoktrinerats i en beroende-relation till sjukvården. Jag har ständigt, sedan barnsben, fått höra hur jag kommer att dö utan tillgång till insulin och snabba kolhydrater. Ständigt denna skrämsel men aldrig redogjorde någon för orsaken och hur orsaken skulle tacklas på såväl individuellt som på ett större plan. Det pratades om ärftlighet, hyperkonsumtion av socker och begränsad aktivitet. Då inget av detta förklarade min döda bukspottskörtel har jag som i en identitetskris vandrat runt  utan orsak till smärtan av nålar och stick, hypoglykemiska anfall (jfr epilepsi) och hyperglykemi.
 
Först efter att ha ägnat mig åt antropologiska amatörstudier finner jag att diabetes-sjukdomen bara existerar i kulturer där spannmål odlas… Det är inte bara diabetesen som råkar följa sin medicinska antropologiska bana tillbaka till civilisationens vagga; mycket av den psykiska ohälsan kommer av att leva i städer (ihopträngda och placerade i öppna anstalter de måste arbeta och konsumera för att få bo i); cancer; könssjukdomar; stresskador; förgiftningar; mutationer; olika förståndshandikapp; nedsatt hjärnafunktioner av mikrovågor osv. Orsakerna ignoreras och smärtstillande, ångestdämpande och tvångsintagningar ser till så att status quo fortskrider. 

Insulin tas från den domesticerade grisens kropp, bearbetas, spädes ut, försluts i ampuller som görs tillgängliga endast för de övre samhällsskikten. Dem med pengar. Dem i nord. Dem som orsakat sjukdomens uppkomst genom sin kortsiktiga ohållbara livsstil.
 Gruvor jämnar levande platser med asfalt, fyller dem med nioåriga pojkar och flickor som annars hade sålt sina kroppar till de äldre gruvarbetarna, assimilerade skogsfolk två generationer tillbaka arbetar 12 timmar om dagen (istället för de 3-4 timmar de gjort i årtusenden) med att lödda kretskort; detta gör de för att jag ska kunna mäta mitt blodsocker på fem sekunder.
 Ser ni någonting här som botar min sjukdom? Ser ni en lösning? Ser ni hur deprimerade människor blir harmoniska av tabletter? Ser ni hur cancersjuka ler på sin dödsbädd när läkaren säger "snart hittar forskarna ett botemedel mot cancer"? (I princip alla som dött i min omgivning har dött i cancer och de log inte…)
 Eller ser ni ett problem?
 De som menar på att sjukvården är något vi är beroende av har glömt att ställa sig själva dessa frågor:
 
Varför är vi beroende av den? Vill jag vara beroende av den? Är jag verkligen beroende av den?

 För att kunna leva i en industriell civilisation är du nog dessvärre beroende av den. Hur skulle du annars kunna uthärda alla gifter du inhalerar, förtär och suger upp i porerna, uthärda alla epidemier som bekämpar överpopulationen, uthärda alla kostrelaterade sjukdomar, uthärda alla skottskador från resursbaserade, etniska och terriotriella krig, uthärda depressionen som följer känslan av tomhet och avsaknad av mening, uthärda ångesten och den post-traumatiska stressen som följer dina trauman; uthärda men aldrig bota.

 Om vi i det någon skämtsamt skulle kalla motståndsrörelsen inte lär oss att vi inte behöver den industriella sjukvården kommer vi aldrig att utgöra ett hot mot de förtryckande krafterna. Om vi inte lär oss kommer tron på den industriella sjukvården vara det som hindrar en heliocentrisk analys, det som hindrar kampen från att uträtta något annat än ytterligare ett regimskifte. De som dödar jorden byter namn och adresser, byter åsikter om och metoder hur livet ska dödas. 

 Ju förr vi inser detta och kan inleda en vård av sjuka som behandlar orsaken, inte symptomen, ju fler av oss som kan kämpa, ju fler av oss som kan leva.

 (Till er som är så oroliga över att "förlora tillgången" till den svenska sjukvården om ni breddar er analys: Fy fan vad sviniga ni är! Ni kan sitta och försvara ett privilegie, att behandlas medicinskt  för att kunna blunda för verkligheten, som bara görs tillgängligt för dem med rätt siffror i personnumret, dem som faktiskt har personnummer, dem som skapar problemen. När du kastar din mobiltelefon (coltanbrytning!), din TV, din laptop (coltanbrytning!), skrotar din bil, gör dig av med allt som orsakar människors lidande och död världen över; då kan jag lyssna på dina argument för att bevara sjukvården. )

No to false solutions! Climate Justice Now!

1. The current world economic crisis marks the end of the neoliberal phase of capitalism. ‘Business as usual’ (financialisation, deregulation, privatisation…) is thus no longer an option: new spaces of accumulation and types of political regulation will need to be found by governments and corporations to keep capitalism going

2. Alongside the economic and political as well as energy crises, there is another crisis rocking the world: the biocrisis, the result of a suicidal mismatch between the ecological life support system that guarantees our collective human survival and capital’s need for constant growth

3. This biocrisis is an immense danger to our collective survival, but like all crises it also presents us, social movements, with a historic opportunity: to really go for capitalism’s exposed jugular, its need for unceasing, destructive, insane growth

4. Of the proposals that have emerged from global elites, the only one that promises to address all these crises is the ‘Green New Deal’. This is not the cuddly green capitalism 1.0 of organic agriculture and D.I.Y. windmills, but a proposal for a new ’green’ phase of capitalism that seeks to generate profits from the piecemeal ecological modernisation of certain key areas of production (cars, energy, etc.)

5. Green capitalism 2.0 cannot solve the biocrisis (climate change and other ecological problems such as the dangerous reduction of biodiversity), but rather tries to profit from it. It therefore does not fundamentally alter the collision course on which any market-driven economy sets humanity with the biosphere.

6. This isn’t the 1930s. Then, under the pressure of powerful social movements, the old ‘New Deal’ redistributed power and wealth downwards. The ‘New New’ and ‘Green New Deal’ discussed by Obama, green parties all around the world, and even some
multinationals is more about welfare for corporations than for people

7. Green Capitalism won’t challenge the power of those who actually produce most greenhouse gases: the energy companies, airlines and carmakers, industrial agriculture, but will simply shower them with more money to help maintain their profit rates by making small ecological changes that will be too little, too late

8. Because globally, working people have lost their power to bargain and demand rights and decent wages, in a green capitalist setup, wages will probably stagnate or even decline to offset the rising costs of ‘ecological modernisation’

9. The ‘green capitalist state’ will be an authoritarian one. Justified by the threat of ecological crisis it will ‘manage’ the social unrest that will necessarily grow from the impoverishment that lies in the wake of rising cost of living (food, energy, etc.) and falling wages

10. In green capitalism, the poor will have to be excluded from consumption, pushed to the margins, while the wealthy will get to ‘offset’ their continued environmentally destructive behaviour, shopping and saving the planet at the same time

11. An authoritarian state, massive class inequalities, welfare given to corporations: from the point of view of social and ecological emancipation, green capitalism will be a disaster that we can never recover from. Today, we have a chance to get beyond the suicidal madness of constant growth. Tomorrow, by the time we’ve all gotten used to the new green regime, that chance may be gone

In green capitalism, there is a danger that established, mainstream environmental groups will come to play the role that trade unions played in the Fordist era: acting as safety valves to make sure that demands for social change, that our collective rage remain within the boundaries set by the needs of capital
and governments

13. Albert Einstein defined ‘insanity’ as “doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” In the past decade, in spite of Kyoto, not only has the concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere increased – so, too, has the rate of increase. Do we simply want more of the same? Wouldn’t that be insane?

14. International climate agreements promote false solutions that are often more about energy security than climate change. Far from solving the crisis, emissions trading, CDM, joint implementation, offsets and so on, all provide a political shield for the continued production of greenhouse gases with impunity

15. For many communities in the global South, these false solutions (agrofuels, ‘green deserts’, CDM-projects) are by now often a greater threat than climate change itself

16. Real solutions to the climate crisis won’t be dreamt up by governments or corporations. They can only emerge from below, from globally networked social movements for climate justice

17. Such solutions include: no to free trade, no to privatisation, no to flexible mechanisms. Yes to food sovereignty, yes to degrowth, yes to radical democracy and to leaving the resources in the ground

18. As an emerging global climate justice movement, we must fight two enemies: on one hand climate change and the fossilistic capitalism that causes it, and on the other, an emergent green capitalism that won’t stop it, but will limit our ability to do so

19. Of course, climate change and free trade aren’t the same thing, but: the Copenhagen-protocol will be a central regulatory instance of green capitalism just as the WTO was central to neoliberal capitalism. So how to relate to it? The Danish group KlimaX argues: A good deal is better than no deal - but no deal is way better
than a bad one

20. The chance that governments will come up with a ‘good deal’ in Copenhagen is slim to none. Our aim must therefore be to demand agreement on real solutions. Failing that: to forget Kyoto, and shut down Copenhagen! (whatever the tactic)

Denna film illustrerar på ett föredömligt sätt hur västvärldens människor alienerar sig genom att lägga skikt på skikt av vanföreställningar och vår blinda tro på teknologin som alla problems lösningar. Notera rösten i reklamfilmen, den skulle lika gärna kunna förklara hur du fyller i en självdeklaration, byter glödlampa eller rakar din hund. Men nu förklaras istället "den slutgiltiga lösningen på musfrågan" och ja, allegorin kanske är överdriven, men kopplingen dyker upp i alla fall. Ärligt, visst är det samma mekanismer som gjorde att den tyska byråkratin mördade miljoner människor utan att en enda byråkrat ansågs sig skyldig?

Som anarkist och civilisationskritiker så tycker jag personligen att sekten Teaching Drum och dess ledare Tamarack Song är en skymf mot mot alla seriösa civilisationskritiker eftersom det enda dom lyckas med (förutom att göra upp eld med pinnar och bygga hyddor och lite annat för att upprätthålla ett ytligt sken av att ha nåt hållbart alternativ till civilisationen) är att upprepa samma gamla mönster av förtryck som är det egentliga grundproblemet med civilisationen.

Välkommen till min magisterexamen i fri konst på Galleri Mejan den 19:e - 30:e april 2008. Jag har byggt en hydda i skogen. Jag visar den och dess bakgrund och arbetet med den; på galleriet och med en gratis busstur till skogen. Under tiden kommer också olika grupper ge sina tankar om boende, arbete och liv genom föredrag, bild och film. Utanför galleriet kommer en tiepi finnas, där vi eldar och pratar med dom som vill.

Igloon är en symbolladdad, temporär arkitektonisk form som jag använder mig av i utställningen IGLOO CONSTRUCTION, Iglookonstruktionen är byggd utifrån traditionella och urgamla tekniker men utförd i ett främmande material, torv. Liksom snön har torven en egen process av nedbrytning och naturalitet. Skulpturen är placerad så att den integrerar i och synliggör den omedelbara omgivningen - Galleri Mejan och Stockholm.

Det är kanske en brist hos mig men jag har aldrig förstått mig på fascister och den fascistiska världsbilden…

Det finns vissa saker som jag ser som oacceptabelt och det är rasism (xenofobi), homo-bi-trans-fobi, sexism, speciesism osv. därför att dessa är ett uttryck för en världsbild där man vill rensa bort det som är avvikande från den norm som civilisationen (den dominanta kulturen) bygger på och att tillåta sådana avvikelser innebär att man skulle tappa kontrollen. Precis den kontrollförlust som jag och många andra civilisationskritiker strävar efter…

Systemet försvar mot att kollapsa under tyngden av en kontrollförlust är att på ett ytligt plan ge utrymme för dessa avvikelser utan att ge avkall på sin egen kontroll. Kvinnor som gör karriär och vill nå höga positioner måste vara väldigt duktiga på att spela med i maktstrukturerna; precis som slavarna i Ottomanska riket som kunde nå höga positioner (vesirer och generaler tex.) så var de ändå slavar och inte fria människor. Och det är vänstern stora problem. Trots den revolutionära retoriken har vänstern oftast varit reformistisk, och till och med kontrarevolutionär, även när den säger sig ha varit revolutionär därför att den aldrig har lyckats göra rent hus med de bakomliggande maktstrukturerna som den säger sig revoltera mot…

Och fascismen? Fascismen är civilisationens yttersta utryck och konsekvens, och naturromantiken samt romantiserandet av tidigare epoker i historien (som i senare tid har utrycks av vissa fascister som nån slags civilisationskritik) är bara ett försvar av de maktstrukturer som civilisationen bygger på…

Så vad har man egentligen då lyckats ådstakomma?
